This medicine is most commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles on the face, such as those in the forehead and between the brows, vertical wrinkles on the lips, “puppet wrinkles” in the corners of the mouth, and “crow’s feet” in the corners of the eyes. It is also effective at treating persistent facial wrinkles, hemifacial spasms, and blepharospasm. In addition, stroke patients may experience localized stiffness in their wrists and hands.

Product Description

When normal saline (the diluent) is introduced, the lyophilized white powder transforms into a colorless, transparent liquid suitable for injection.

Indications for Use

1. Correction of facial wrinkles: Effective for dynamic wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows, around the eyes (“crow’s feet”), and other facial areas.
2. Medical conditions: Treatment for hemifacial spasms, blepharospasm, cervical dystonia (spastic torticollis), focal spasticity in stroke patients, and paralytic strabismus.

Administration Guidelines

1. Avoid thermal procedures (e.g., saunas or hot baths) prior to treatment.
2. Refrain from medications that affect blood clotting (e.g., certain antibiotics).
3. Dilute the vial containing 100 units of botulinum toxin with 0.9% saline.
4. Inject 0.1 ml of the diluted solution using a 30 G needle into targeted muscle groups.

Recommended Treatment Guidelines

• Needle Gauge: 30 G
• Indication: Temporary amelioration of moderate to severe lateral canthal rhytides associated with orbicularis oculi muscle activity in adults aged 19–65 years.

Efficacy and Safety Profile
