Details: Restylane perlane
Perlane is an FDA-approved dermal filler for the treatment of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds. Streptococcus bacteria create perlane. The particle size and injection depth are the two main distinctions between Perlane and Restylane.
Amount:1ml
Face's nasolabial folds. These are the wrinkles that go from your mouth's corners to the sides of your nose. Perlane is sometimes used on the cheeks and to fill in wrinkles around the lips.
Applications
Both fillers are FDA-approved for treating moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. However, their applications differ based on their formulation:
Restylane is often used for enhancing lip volume, smoothing out fine lines around the mouth, and filling hollows under the eyes.
Perlane is better suited for deeper wrinkles and volumizing areas like the cheeks or chin.
Duration of Effects
The longevity of results also varies between the two products:
Restylane generally lasts about six months.
Perlane, due to its thicker consistency, tends to last longer—up to nine months or more.
Comfort During Treatment
To enhance patient comfort during treatment with Perlane, a product called Restylane Lyft has been developed. This combines Perlane with lidocaine to reduce discomfort during injections. Clinical studies indicate that patients experience less pain with Restylane Lyft compared to standard Perlane.
Safety Profile
Both Restylane and Perlane have similar safety profiles; however, there are specific contraindications for each product. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have bleeding disorders, or allergies to any components should avoid these treatments. Side effects may include bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching, or pain at injection sites but typically resolve within two weeks.
